Jenkins wins Vandersluis Memorial
BEMIDJI, MN (Sept. 2, 2013) — Tom Jenkins held a five-shot lead heading into Monday's final round at the 2013 Vandersluis Memorial. He did exactly what he needed to do to maintain that lead, securing the victory with an even-par 72.

His rounds of 71-69-72 put him at a 54-hole total of four-under, defeating the next best player by five shots.

Jim Foss was that man at Bemidji Town & Country Club over Labor Day weekend, shooting consistent rounds of 73-72-72 to come in solo second place, followed by a two-way tie for third place between Jeffrey Cannon and Jeff Peltier.

The Vandersluis Memorial Golf Tournament is held each year at the Bemidji Town & Country Club over Labor Day Weekend. The event has an international field with divisions for Men, Senior Men and Ladies. Past men's champions (including 1996 British Open Champion Tom Lehman) have gone on to successful professional and amateur careers. The format provides top competition for players of all ability.

There are 6 different divisions that players can enter:
• Mens Champs- Open to men of all ages
• Sr. Men's Champ-Open to men age 50 and over
• Master's Champ-Open to men age 65 and over
• Men's Regular flight-Open to men age 19 and over
• Sr Men's Regular flight-Open to men age 50 and over
• Ladies Regular flight-Open to ladies age 19 and over
