George Dressler Pennsylvania (PGA) Amateur Public Links Championship
HARRISBURG, PA (May 21, 2006) -- Thomas Timby, Jr. of Doylestown, Pa. captured the 67th George Dressler Pennsylvania Amateur Public Links Championship present by Your Pennsylvania Toyota Dealers at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course on Sunday, May 21. Timby navigated his way though winds that reached as high as 35 mph during the final round to shoot a 2-over par 74 and post an even-par score of 144 for the tournament. Peter Toole of Mount Joy, Pa., the 2005 champion, finished one-stoke behind Timby.
David Dankmyer of Gidsonia, Pa.,a member of the Penn State Golf Team, posted the round of the day.

ABOUT THE George Dressler Memorial
Formerly a public links tournament, the George
Dressler Memorial is a 36 hole stroke play event
with Championship (up
to age 54), Senior (ages 55-64) and Super Senior
(age 65 and older) divisions. There is a
simultaneous
team event with a best-two-of-three-score format
among teams of three players from Pennsylvania
Golf Association member clubs.
All players up to age 64 play from the same
tees.
The Senior Division is paired among the
Championship Division
The tournament is named in honor of George
Dressler, who was a member of the United States
Golf Association's public links committee.
