Nebraska Am: Sajevic, Freeman share lead
NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. (July 31, 2013) -- Andy Sajevic of Fremont and Calvin Freeman of Table Rock finished Wednesday’s third round of the 105th Nebraska Amateur at ArborLinks Golf Course tied for the lead at 2-under-par 214.
Sajevic posted 3-under-par 69 on Wednesday, while Freeman shot 71. The pair holds a one-stroke lead over Cameron Farrell and Mike Siwa. Greg Stanek (217) rounds out the top five.
Sajevic would become the first player since Steve Friesen in 1998 to win both the Men’s Amateur and Men’s Match Play titles in the same year, while Freeman would capture his first Nebraska Golf Association championship with a win. Thursday’s final round starts at 7 a.m.
