Sweet 16 set at Kansas Match Play
SHAWNEE MISSION, Kan. (July 26, 2013) -- Following several extra hole matches in the Round of 32, the 16 players are still alive.

1996 Kansas Amateur champion Corey Novascone advanced as did 2013 Kansas Junior Amateur champion Chase Hanna.

Several high seeds continue to advance into the championship including 51 seed Kit Grove, 50 seed Zach Vandolah and 45 seed Harry Higgs.

This is the third time that Indian Hills Country Club has hosted the Kansas Amateur

ABOUT THE Kansas Amateur Match Play

36 holes of individual stroke play qualifying to determine low 64 players advancing to single elimination match play bracket. Any player that is not exempt from regional qualifying must go through one of the five regional qualifying sites or the second chance qualifier to advance to the championship. Open to any male amateur golfer with an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index through a KGA member club.
