Mikkelsen buried a 25-footer on the second playoff hole to win it.

Mikkelsen and Forester are now three time champions in the two-day, 54-hole event at famed Baltusrol.

ABOUT THE Baltusrol Invitational

The Baltusrol Invitational has become a national and international event with teams competing from throughout the United States, Scotland, England, Canada and Bermuda. The field consists mainly of mid-amateur level players who compete as two man teams over 54 holes on both the Upper and Lower Courses. The first day format consists of better ball in the morning round and foursomes (alternate shot) in the afternoon round, both on the Upper Course. Play on the second day moves to the Lower Course where the team’s aggregate score is the format for one round. The overall format is unique and greatly appreciated by the field because it requires that both team members play to a very high caliber. The winners receive traditional gold medals and their names are inscribed on the A.W. Tillinghast Trophy, which sits on display at the Club year-round.
