San Diego City: Tuulik takes lead
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 20, 2013) -- Christopher Tuulik fired a second-round 71 and leads by two shots at the 2013 San Diego City Championship at Torrey Pines.

Tuulik's overall total of 6-under is two better than Bryan Shin and Max Alcorn, who sit tied for second.

Byron Meth and Andrew Rudy are in fourth place, three back of the leader.

First-round leader John Kollus struggled with a second-round 79 and is tied for 21st.

Amateurgolf.com's Kyle Rector is tied for 30th after rounds of 76-74.

ABOUT THE San Diego City Amateur

NOTE: Tournament fills quickly, check San Diego Golf website listed in contact section sometime between April 1st and May 1st for entry info.

The format is 54 hole Gross Stroke Play with no cut and is open to all amateur golfers, 18 years of age and over, who are active members of an SCGA or USGA club or index system and have a current numeric index.

The tournament is comprised of three championship flights: Men's, Women's and Senior's. Player selection for all flights will be made by the tournament committee. The committee will determine selection for the championship based on lowest verified indexes.
