Calif. State Open: Ams Hwang, Lee tied for 15th
BEAUMONT, Calif. (July 16, 2013) -- Jay Hwang shot into a tie for 15th place at the California State Open at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon.
Hwang followed his opening-round 71 up with a 4-under 68 and trails leader James Drew at 13-under. Also tied for 15th is Kevin Lee of La Palma.
Matthew Negri, who held the low amateur lead after Round 1, shot 72 on Tuesday and is tied for 35th at 2-under for the tournament.

The Championship will be a 72-hole stroke play
tournament contested over four days. Following the
conclusion of 36-holes, the field will be cut to the Top
60 players and ties. Championship is open to both
Professionals and Amateurs. Amateurs must carry an
index of 2.4 or below at the time of entry. Pre-
qualifying required for non-exempt players.
