Mike Moyers of Stanardsville, Virginia held off a surging Bryce Chalkley to take the title at the 2013 Eastern Amateur golf tournament, played at Elizabeth Manor Country Club.

Moyers, a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, shot a 1-under 69 in the final round (14-under for 72 holes) to hold off his former Hokies teammate Chalkley, who posted the tournament's low round of 63, by 2 strokes.

Michigan sophomore Chris O'Neill, a long time member of amateurgolf.com, posted a final round 66 to finish a shot back in third, while Jimmy Stanger finished fourth.

Like the Players Amateur in South Carolina, the Eastern Amateur was plagued by rain this week, but they managed to complete all four rounds.
