Leemore, Calif. (July 14, 2013) -- Stanislaus State golfer Trevor Clayton, of Clovis, won the 2013 Leemore City Championship today, posting rounds of 66-67 for a 7-shot victory over Blake Ahlin of Leemore and Nick Sorensen of Fresno.

Clayton tackled the 6500 yard, par 72 course with a short, tight front nine and a more open but longer back. But heck, compressing the ball wasn't a problem -- today's temperature in the predominantly farming community of the Central Valley reached 104 degrees.
