HATTIESBURG, Miss. (July 13, 2013) -- Casey O'Toole of Oneonta, Alabama is tied for the lead in the Magnolia Amateur.
O'Toole, who recently completed his senior year at Samford University, is deadlocked with Noah West, two rounds into the event at Hattiesburg Country Club.
Over the 4th of July weekend, O'Toole finished 4th in the Spirit of America Classic in Decatur, Alabama. West, from Tupelo, Miss. will be a sophomore at Ole Miss, has plenty of tournament experience including finishing low qualifier for the USGA Junior and winning his division of the Mississippi H.S. championship 4 straight years.
Play will continue Sunday in the 54-hole event, a relatively new one to the amateur golf landscape now in it's second year with a greatly improved field over the first.
