MONTEREY, Calif. (June 30, 2013) — Fresh off winning the California State Amateur, Cory McElyea stayed hot, winning the Monterey City Amateur at Del Monte Golf Course on Sunday.

The University of San Francisco senior shot 69-66-70 to win the championship by five strokes.
