Wright takes Oklahoma Senior Amateur
BROKEN ARROW, Okla (June 27, 2013) — The Senior State Amateur is complete.
Congratulations to Kirk Wright who defeated 2 time defending champ Mike Hughett in 19 holes for the title. The tournament was played June 24-27 at the Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Arrow. The OGA would like to thank Bobby Hadden, the members and staff of the Golf Club of Oklahoma for a truly outstanding tournament.
Wright birdied three of his last six holes, but bogeyed the par-five 18th to help Hughett force extra holes. Hughett then bogeyed the 19th hole to give Wright the championship.

ABOUT THE Oklahoma Senior Amateur
Open to senior amateurs who are 50 years of age,
residents of Oklahoma and members of the OGA. 18
holes of stroke play will decide a round of 32 match
play bracket.
