NAPLES, FLORIDA (APRIL 23, 2006) -- The 2006 Terra Cotta Invitational was won by Arnond Vongvanij, the #6 ranked junior in the U.S. who is attending the David Leadbetter Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He shot a 3 under par total of 213 to edge #2 ranked junior Peter Uihlein, who is also attending the Leadbetter Academy, by one shot. Vongvanij was one shot ahead going to the 18th. Uihlein birdied the hole then Vongvanij made his birdie to clinch the title. Bob Niger, the Northern California Player of the Year finished in a tie for second.
