Martinez victorious at San Antonio Amateur
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (June 16, 2013) — San Antonio native Arnold Martinez fired a final-round 67 to win the Greater San Antonio Men's Championship.

Martinez rallied from three strokes back to shoot the lowest round of the day and finish as the only player under par for their 54-hole total.

Second-round leader Mark Lowe struggled on Sunday, shooting 76 to finish six back of Martinez in fifth place.

Martinez placed collegiately for Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, graduating in 2010.

ABOUT THE San Antonio Amateur

Format: 72 Holes Stroke Play

Eligibility: Any male with amateur status, 18 years or older as of the start of the tournament, residing in Bexar, Comal, Kendall, Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, Guadalupe, or Bandera counties for a minimum of three months prior to the Championship date.

Field limited to the first 240 paid entries received. Non-exempt players must enter an 18-hole qualifier held a week before the championship.
