A bit of history: First held in 1967, the NCGA Master Division Championship has always been held at Spyglass Hill. The 54-hole competition consists of two-man teams, with each player playing his own ball and the lower of the two scores counting. Only five teams have won the title more than once, the last being the combination of Danny Panniccia and Mike Stieler. In 2010, the trophy was renamed the Roger Val Trophy in honor of Roger Val, who served as NCGA Director of Rules and Competitions from 1982-2010.
