Arkansas and TCU lead after first day of NCAA Division I Championship

EUGENE, OR (May 28, 2016) - Off early yesterday at Eugene Country Club Arkansas and TCU were able to grab a share of the
first round lead at the NCAA Division I Championship. A number of top-ranked teams begin the second round outside of the top-10 and will look to make a move on Saturday.

Three of rounds of strokeplay remain to crown an individual champion and decide the eight teams that will move on to matchplay.
LSU is back attempting to defend their team title while individual champion from year, Bryson DeChambeau of SMU has since turned professional.
ABOUT THE NCAA Division I Championship
30 teams and 6 individuals not on a qualifying
team make up the field for the championship of
NCAA
Division I women's golf.
After 72 holes of stroke play, the individual
champion is crowned, and the low 8 teams advance
to
match play to determine the team champion.
