During Sunday's first round Wolniewicz and Gaffney started play on the 10th hole and shot out of the gates white hot with birdies on 10 and 11. Following a par on the 12th they birdied the next two holes before eagling the short par-5 15th to reach 6-under after just six holes. Their only blemish of the day came on 18th when they bogeyed the difficult 18th hole. The drive on the closing par-5 is a demanding one, calling for a long carry over water.

The bogey was only a brief break in Wolniewicz and Gaffney's stellar play as they rebounded with a birdie on No. 1 and then tallied three consecutive birds from holes 4-6.

Knowing they could be conservative during the second round Wolniewicz and Gaffney played steady golf shooting a 4-under 68. The duo cruised to victory with five birdies and one bogey, one of just two over 36-holes of play.

The teams of Todd Czepiel and Joseph Marro; Jimmy Welch and Chad Stoffer; Matthew Mahlke and Ian Wilson all finished tied for second at 8-under. Fifth place was shared by Ralph Fornuto and John Kircher; Daniel Russo and David Hayes at 5-under.

SENIOR DIVISION

In a much closer race Matt Clarke and Bob Rosen eked out a one-stroke victory over the parirings of Bill Paulsen Jr. and Jim Mueller; Frank Plata and Stewart McGough.

Clarke and Rosen, 11-under, fired a closing round 5-under 67 to gain the necessary advantage after beginning the day tied for the lead. The duo combined for six birdies and just one bogey during the final round, including rattling off three straight birds from holes 3-5.

The team's of Paulsen Jr. and Mueller; Plata and McGough finished tied for second place at 10-under while teammates Mark Battle and Bob Chalanick were 8-under in fourth; Steve Puccia and Robert Condello were 7-under in fifth.
