CALDWELL, ID (May 23, 2016) - The IGA Four-Ball Championship was held out at TimberStone Golf Course May 21-22 with Women, Men and the Senior Men combined for the first time. David Elliott and Justin McAfee won the Men’s Four-Ball Championship by one stroke over the teams of Gilbert Livas Jr./Arthur Lynch and the team of Kyle Delorey/Tyler Thurston.

David Elliott drained a 20 foot putt on number 18 to win his team this championship. Justin McAfee played on the Men’s Golf Team while David Elliott is a participant of the Boise State’s Men’s Golf Team. The combination of the two players was just right to seal the deal. The two golfers held the lead for the two days.

In the Senior Men’s Division, Crane Creek members Joel Hickam and Mike Sadler also held the lead for both days of the championship. The weather conditions tested the field mentally and physically. After round one, Joel and Mike came in with an 8-under par 64 while Bob Christensen and Joe Stumph trailed behind with 6-under par 66. The morning conditions of the final day of the championship were quite cold with the steady winds, but that didn’t stop Hickman and Sadler from finishing with a second round of a 4-under par 68. That two day total of 12-under par put them right to the top of the leader board over the team of Christensen/Stumph by two strokes. Congratulations to all championship participants.

In the Women’s Four-Ball Championship, these two ladies also held their lead both rounds. After day one Kareen Markle and Kinsley Bonfilio had a two stroke lead over Sharon Faylor and Cheri Stimpson. Both teams, very eager to hold the championship trophies. Faylor and Stimpson were consistent with a pair of 71’s, but that wasn’t good enough to beat Markle and Bonifilio with their 69-70 finish. This is a first win for the team of Kareen Markle and Kinsley Bonfilio.
