However, it was Australian Harrison Endycott (14-under) with a final round 3-under 69 who was able to do just enough to separate himself from the field. Endycott won by a stroke over Henry Spring (13-under).

The Australian kicked his day into gear with his first birdie of the day on the par-5 7th. Endycott, who finished 12th in last year's Porter Cup, didn't card another birdie until his first of back-to-back birdies on No. 12 and 13.

Following another birdie on No. 15 Endycott bogeyed the closing hole, his only blemish of the round. It was Endycott's first bogey since the 8th hole of round two, a 45-hole stretch.

Australian Henry Spring closed with a 5-under 67 but fell one-stroke shy of chasing down Endycott. Spring made an front nine charge after beginning the day three behind. Even through five holes, Spring birdied four of the next six holes to thrust himself into the competition.

Unfortunately, following a birdie on No. 11 Spring then bogeyed the par-4 12th and it proved to be costly. Despite two more birdies on the way home Spring was one-stroke shy of forcing a playoff.

David Micheluzzi (12-under) placed third, he was never able to fully recover from a second hole double bogey. Leigh Pritchard, Daniel Gale and third round co-leader Curtis Luck all finished in a fourth place tie at 11-under.

Travis Smyth (10-under), the defending champion, had a share of the lead after the third round but finished four-back following a last day 1-over 73.
