BRADENTON, Fla. — Only two women's collegiate teams remain at the NCAA Women's National Championship. The Stanford Cardinal and the Baylor Bears have withstood the test of The Concession Golf Club and find themselves in Wednesday's championship match.

Both teams knocked out the champions from the past two years in the semifinals as Stanford defeated in-state rival USC, the 2013 winners, while Baylor ended Duke's chances of repeating.

Maybe the most crucial victory for the three-seed Baylor was the duel of two freshman — Duke's Irish first-year Lisa Maguire against Baylor freshman from Scotland Lauren Whyte. Maguire, arguably the top freshman in the country, lost to Whyte in 24 holes, giving Baylor three match play victories to Duke's two.

STROKE PLAY: Alabama's Emma Talley wins NCAA Women's Medal Play Championship

Meanwhile, Stanford received wins from freshman Shanon Aubert, sophomore Casey Danielson, and junior Mariah Stackhouse. Stackhouse will square off with Baylor senior Hayley Davis in one of five championship matches on Wednesday.

In Tuesday morning's quarterfinal matches, Baylor won 3-1-1 against Tennessee while Stanford fended off Arizona, winning four of five matches against their Pac-12 rival from the southwest.

Here are the five individual match-ups set for Wednesday for the championship:

Baylor junior Laura Lonardi vs. Stanford sophomore Casey Danielson

Baylor freshman Lauren Whyte vs. Stanford freshman Shannon Aubert

Baylor freshman Dylan Kim vs. Stanford junior Lauren Kim

Baylor freshman Giovana Maymon vs. Stanford sophomore Quirine Eijkenboom

Baylor senior Hayley Davis vs. Stanford junior Mariah Stackhouse

The first match, between Lonardi and Danielson, is scheduled to begin at 2:10 p.m. EST, with the four remaining matches following 10 minutes after each.
