OOLTEWAH, Tenn. — Scores were higher on another difficult day of golf at The Honors Course, but one thing did remain the same — a two-stroke lead for Denver Haddix.

The Lexington, Ky. native, despite a second-round 77, maintained his two-shot advantage, and will take it into Sunday's final round at the John T. Lupton Invitational. Charles Waddell, the 2014 Timuquana Cup winner, is tied for second place along with Joseph Deraneuy, whose 73 was tied for lowest round of the day.

Haddix, who won the 2014 Kentucky Match Play title, reached the quarterfinals in last year's U.S. Mid-Amateur.

Haddix's first-round 70 led Craig Smith by two after Friday's first round. Smith shot 78 on Saturday, and is three shots back in fourth place.

In the Senior division, Allen Barber and Michael Mercier are tied for first at 71 points. Both the Senior and Super Senior flights are playing a Stableford format. Doug Hanzel is just a point behind while Bob Kearney is two points back and Paul Simson, the 2013 winner, is three back.

In the Super Senior division, Don Kuehn leads first-round leader Bob Kain by one with a two-round total of 66.
