Meyers, Zendt win Palm Beach County Four-Ball

JUPITER, Fla. — Six players with multiple
victories in Palm Beach County Golf Association
play were the age group winners Sunday (April
26) in the 34th annual Arrigo Dodge Chrysler
Jeep Ram Four-Ball golf tournament at Trump
National-Jupiter.
Jared Meyers of North Palm Beach, who now has
won seven PBCGA titles, and Deron Zendt (6) of
Jupiter, won the open division for players 49 and
younger, closing with a four-ball stroke play
round of 66 for 198. They made nine birdies
Sunday, 22 with four bogeys in 54 holes. They
birdied the first two holes Sunday to break a
second round tie.
Jimmy Key (11) of Palm Beach Gardens and
Marty Rifkin (6) of Jupiter led all the way in the
senior division, ages 50-59, after opening with a
scramble score of 60. They shot 70 Sunday,
their highest score of the week, for 197. In 54
holes they made 23 birdies and four bogeys. Key
is a former PBCGA Senior Player of the Year.
The super seniors for players 60 and older was
won by Don Edwards (7) or Hobe Sound and Paul
Quigley (5) of Tequesta. They had 16 birdies and
five birdies for the distance, including 70 the
final round for 205. Quigley won the super
seniors flight in the Palm Beach International, a
Stableford points event in March at Martin
Downs CC.

ABOUT THE Palm Beach Four-Ball
The event will consist of a 36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play
Championship (two person teams), played over two
days. Approximately 46 teams will tee-it-up and
compete in a Better Ball format. Three Divisions: Open
/ Senior (50-59) / Super Senior (60+)
