2015 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball qualifying results
Qualifying is now complete for the inaugural U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship, being held at the prestigious Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif. May 2-6.

Below are the accumulating results from the qualifying sites, which began on August 13 and run until March 31, 2015.

March 31, 2015 | Spring Creek Golf Club | Gordonville, Va.

The team of Kent Crymes and Jason Owenby of Birmingham, Ala., shot seven-under par 65 to lead three teams who qualified in Virginia on Tuesday. Full scoring from the final qualifying site can be found here.

March 30, 2015 | Sara Bay Country Club | Sarasota, Fla.

Brian Keenan and Paul Royak posted 66 to medal at Florida's last qualifier, beating out Tee McCabe and Jeff Williams by a stroke, though the second-place pair qualified, as well.

March 28, 2015 | The Bluffs Resort | St. Francisville, La.

Brothers Bret Pinson of Baton Rouge, La. and Clay Pinson of St. Francisville, La. fired a five-under par 67 to earn medalist honors at The Bluffs Golf Resort on Saturday. Patrick Bailey and Seth Thornton, both from Houston, Texas, also qualified for the championship proper after shooting a four-under par 68.

March 23, 2015 | Desert Forest Golf Club | Carefree, Ariz.

Three teams posted 67 at Desert Forest and were among five teams qualifying in Arizona. Eric Sage and Mark Wagner, Eric and Clark Rustand, and Jason Allen and Jason Greiner were crowned co-medalists, beating out the rest of the field by two shots. Six teams shot 69 to tie for third place, though only two teams are heading to The Olympic Club. Marc and Tyler Apps, as well as Matthew Simone and Cory Bacon were the groups moving on.

March 23, 2015 | Pinewild Country Club | Pinehurst, N.C.

William Gordon of Davidson, N.C. and Steve Harwell of Mooresville, N.C. carded a nine-under par 62 to take medalist honors while Nolan Mills of Charlotte, N.C. and Henry Shimp of Charlotte, N.C. and Sherrill Britt of West End, N.C. and Greg Earnhardt of Greensboro, N.C. secured the final two qualifying spots in a 3-for-2 playoff with pars on the first playoff hole.

March 23, 2015 | The Fox Club | Palm City, Fla.

Reigning Florida Mid-Senior champion R.J. Nakashian was among the two groups to qualify for the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball on Monday at The Fox Club in Palm City, Florida. Nakashian, and his partner Stephen Anderson, were co-medalists along with Daniel Eggertsson and Jason Feng at 65. Matthew Marino and Donald Wolfe, despite also shooting 65 on Monday, were granted the first alternate spot as the duo lost out in the playoff.

March 23, 2015 | Ol' Colony Golf Complex | Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Four teams shot 68 at Ol'Colony to head to a playoff for the two available qualifying spots for this national championship. Forrest Crabtree and Austin Hynson, both from Mobile, advanced in the playoff, as did Lew Mitchell of Birmingham and Will Swift of Hoover. Both teams made par to move on. Brothers Clay and Jake Nolen, both of Hoover, and Jeff Helfrich of Stuart, Fla. and Chris Moore of Memphis, Tn., failed to advance from the playoff after both teams made double bogey.

March 23, 2015 | Columbia Country Club | Blythewood, S.C.

A trio of teams all posted five-under 66 at South Carolina's lone U.S. Amateur Four-Ball qualifier, securing all three spots for The Olympic Club in May. Kyle Milner and Josh Branyon, Hunter Watkins and Gary Wilkerson, and Michael Sims and Jordan Byrd will all be headed west for the inaugural event. March 17, 2015 | Goose Creek Golf Club | Mira Loma, Calif.

The duo of Jeff Fortson and Michael Walton shot eight-under par 63 to medal at Goose Creek Golf Club in the final California qualifier. Fortson, a three-time U.S. Mid-Amateur competitor, and Walton, a former Pepperdine University golfer, made no bogeys and eight birdies en route to their first-place finish. The players edged three other groups who shot 64.

Also qualifying for their trip to The Olympic Club, winning two spots in a three-way playoff, were the groups of Iain MacDonald and Bob Valerio, and David Bartman and Edward Fryatt.

March 12, 2015 | River Ridge Golf Club | Oxnard, Calif.

Qualifiers are winding down for the inaugural U.S. Amateur Four-Ball. At River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard, Calif., a father/son duo of Jim and Scott Williams shot nine- under 63 to medal by three shots and earn their spot at The Olympic Club in May. Also qualifying at River Ridge were Oliver Rheinfurth and his parter Marc Reyes. Rheinfurth, 55 of Westlake Village, and Reyes, of Los Angeles, needed a playoff to squeeze into the final qualifying spot after shooting six-under 66.

March 9, 2015 | Pasatiempo Golf Club | Santa Cruz, Calif.

Shooting seven-under par 63 at the Alister Mackenzie-designed Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif. were Southern California residents Satch Herrmann and Daniel Ragsdale. Their round, which included two stretches of three straight birdies, was low by two shots.

Tying for second place at Pasatiempo were Stanford golfers Maverick McNealy and Viraat Badhwar, as well as Hussain and Ahmed Ali at five- under 65.

February 17, 2015 | The Farms Golf Club | Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

Loyola Marymount teammates Chase Nicolai and Cole Young were medalists by three shots at The Farms, which will host an NCAA regional men's championship in April. Young, who is a member at The Farms, and Nicolai fed off of a string of six birdies in seven holes in the middle of their round to secure their ticket to their first USGA event.

December 8, 2014 | Del Paso Country Club - Sacramento, Calif.

Former UCLA and NFL quarterback Drew Olson and partner David Reneker advanced through sectional qualifying in a playoff at Del Paso CC on Monday to grab one of the available spots, firing a 6- under 65. Olson, 31, is one of UCLA's all-time passing leaders; Reneker, 46, was a member of the Bruins golf team.

Chico State golfers Alistair Docherty and Lee Gearhart earned medalist honors at 8-under 63, while Scott Colby and Gary Deblaquiere of Granite Bay, paired in the same late foursome as Docherty and Gearhart, shot 64 and also advanced.

In the playoff, the Olson/Reneker team and Gary Dunn and John Peterson birdied the first hole, while Kevin Kobalter and Kyle Gentry (who also posted 65) were eliminated after making par. Olson and Reneker went on to defeat Dunn and Peterson with a birdie on the fourth playoff hole.

December 1, 2014 | Poppy Hills Golf Course - Pebble Beach, Calif.

Tim Mickelson, brother of the most famous left- handed golfer in the world, Phil Mickelson, qualified for the U.S. Amateur Four- Ball Championship on Monday along with Jake Yount at Poppy Hills Golf Course. Mickelson, now the head golf coach at Arizona State University, once coached Yount when Mickelson was head of the University of San Diego program. Mickelson and Yount fired a best-ball score of 63, claiming medalist honors by one over brothers Jason and Ryan Higton.

Claiming the third and final qualifying spot at this site were Brady Exber and Kevin Marsh, who won a three-team playoff at 65. Exber had a remarkable 2014 season on the senior amateur circuit while Marsh, the Crane Cup tournament director, recently won the Southern California Four-Ball with partner John Pate.

November 17, 2014 | Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club - Ocala, Florida

Two teams qualified in this North Florida location; locals Matthew Giovannelli and David Griffin (who posted 65) and Jacob Huizinga or Orlando and his partner William Wrigley of Winter Garden (67).

November 12, 2014 | Honolulu Country Club - Honolulu, Hawaii

It's going to be tough to beat this story when reflecting on the amazing things that can happen in an 18 hole qualifier for an inaugural USGA Championship. It may take a while for it to ever happen again.

Physican's assistant Bill Walbert, 47, was called into surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center the morning of November 12 in Honolulu. That meant he couldn't make it to Honolulu Country Club for his qualifier. Instead, his partner Brent Grant, 18, shot the round of his life, a 9-under 63, to earn the pair a spot in the May 2-6 event at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. And get this -- their location had only one spot available so the two teams that shot 64 were shut out.

October 27, 2014 | Riverbend Country Club - Sugar Land, Tex.

Two teams qualified at the Riverbend Country Club site — one of two U.S. Amateur Four-Ball qualifying tournaments to take place in Texas thus far. Michael Board of Spring and Drew Jones of Decatur were medalists with 65 while Andrew Wyatt and Brett Douglas of Midland came in second with a 66. Four other teams shot 66 and lost to the Midland duo in a playoff.

October 20, 2014 | Argyle Country Club - Silver Spring, Md.

Ryan McCarthy and Patrick McCormick became one of five teams to shoot 62 in U.S. Amateur Four-Ball qualifying thus far when they posted the number at Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, Md. McCarthy and McCormick were teammates at Loyola University Maryland ending in 2012. Eight teams posted 65, with four of them punching their ticket to The Olympic Club. October 16, 2014 | Cherry Valley Club - Garden City, N.J.

Kenneth Bakst and Jonathan Doppelt took medalist honors at Cherry Valley Club with a 66. Bakst opened the renowned Friar's Head in Riverhead, N.Y. in 1997 — a course which has no yardages on the scorecard. Conor Casey and Griffin Kern as well as Timothy Schmitt and James Mastaglio also made it through in Garden City with 68's.

October 9, 2014 | Philadelphia Country Club - Gladwyne, Pa.

At one of the few U.S. Four-Ball qualifying locations taking place at a former USGA host course, three pairs qualified and moved on to The Olympic Club at Philadelphia Country Club. Three teams shot six-under par 65, including Sean Semenetz and Jack Wallace, Brian Gillespie and Mike Hyland, and Philip Bartholomew and Andy Latowski. October 8, 2014 | Heritage Club - Mason, Ohio

In Mason, Ohio, Gus Lundquist and Trevor Sluman were medalists after shooting 67. One other pair qualified, shooting 68. T.J. Brudzinski and Chris Brooks used a playoff to advance over Peter Samborsky II and Jeffrey Scohy, who also posted 68. 2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur runner-up Bill Williamson and his playing partner Brad Wilder shot 69 and are second alternate.

October 7, 2014 | Bay Club at Mattapoisett - Mattapoisett, Mass.

Bay Club at Mattapoisett hosted a popular Massachusetts site, yielding four qualifiers to the main event in May. Brian Bardier and David Jones were top dogs, shooting 64 to earn medalist honors. The seven-under round included seven birdies and no bogeys for Connecticut residents. Billy Forcier and Patrick Rahn, both from New Hampshire, punched their ticket with a 65 while Bill Vanstratum and Michael Walker got in with 66. Rounding out the four spots were Victor Galvani and J.D. McNeill, who carded a 67 and advanced in a playoff over Herbie Aikens and his playing partner Matt Parziale. October 6, 2014 | Kansas City Country Club - Mission Hills, Kan.

Sixty-six was the number at Kansas City Country Club as three qualifying teams and two alternates all shot 66 while attempting to reach the first annual U.S. Amateur Four-Ball. Advancing duos included Cole Chelle and Jack Fiscus, Don Walsworth and Jon Troutman, and Doug Albers and Tyler Shelton.

October 6, 2014 | Ledgemont Country Club - Seekonk, Mass.

Austin Eaton, III and Roger Hoit shot 64 to qualify to compete at The Olympic Club while Ryan Riley and Kevin Silva as well as Robert Leopold and Brad Valois shot 66 to capture the final two spots at Ledgemont Country Club.

October 6, 2014 | Bellerive Country Club - St. Louis, Mo.

One of the most notable qualifying sites Bellerive Country Club, having hosted the inaugural U.S. Mid-Amateur, the 1992 PGA Championship, as well as the 2013 Senior PGA Championship, also included one of the more notable fields, and qualifiers. 2014 U.S. Mid-Amateur winner Scott Harvey was medalist with his playing partner Toddd Mitchell while the man Harvey defeated in the 36-hole final, Brad Nurski, came in second place joined by Richard Berkmeyer. Michael Affeldt and Erik Ciotti also got in at Bellerive, which will host the 100th running of the PGA Championship in 2018.

October 6, 2014 | Cinder Ridge Golf Course - Wilmington, Ill.

Edward Kantor and John Penn were the only qualifiers emerging out of the Wilmington, Ill. site as the duo beat the field with their best-ball round of 67.

October 1, 2014 | Washington County Golf Course - Hartford, Wis.

Tom Abell and Keith Humerickhouse advanced in first position in Wisconsin with a 66. Humerickhouse, from Eagle, Colo., is well-known in his home state for winning four consecutive Colorado Mid-Amaetur titles from 2010-2013. Daniel Benedum and Blake Seider shot 67 and claimed the final spot. Full results from the Washington County site can be found here.

September 30, 2014 | Westmoreland Country Club - Export, Pa.

The lowest qualifying score came from Brandon Matthews and Patrick Ross, who shot 61 at Westmoreland Country Club in Export, Pa. The pair are teammates at Temple University in Philadelphia, with Matthews being a junior from DuPont, Pa. and Ross being a senior from Dunmore, Pa.

September 29, 2014 | Highlands of Elgin - Elgin, Ill.

Three rounds of 64 were posted to qualify for The Olympic Club in May of 2015. John Ramsey and Chadd Slutzky, Matthew McLaughlin and Christian Vozza, and Robert Bruce and Paul Dagys were responsible for each of the 64's, and they'll all have a shot at the inaugural U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship.

September 29, 2014 | Ravenwood Golf Club - Victor, N.Y.

A pair of Kyle's teamed up to capture the lone qualifying spot at Delaware Country Club as Kyle Cox and Kyle Wilson shot one of the lower rounds thus far in qualifying — a 63.

September 25, 2014 | Tulsa Country Club - Tulsa, Okla.

Well-known Texas mid-amateur player Brian Noonan and his playing partner Riley Pumphrey were medalists at Tulsa Country Club with a 64. Noonan was the Harvey Penick Invitational winner in 2013 and finished runner-up in his attempt to repeat. Draegen Majors and Brooks Price as well as Don Cochran and Rick Bell were the final two pairs to advance.

September 23, 2014 | Paramount Country Club - New City, N.Y.

Sam Wallach and Steven Zychowski won this qualifying tournament by three shots with a 64. Zychowski reached the round of 64 at the 2013 U.S. Amateur. Both players are 23 and have been playing together since they were junior golfers in New Jersey.

September 22, 2014 | Pinetree Country Club - Kennesaw, Ga.

Three-time Birmingham National Invitational winner Greg Kennedy and his playing partner Reece Whitley were medalists at the Pinetree Country Club site while Cameron Hooper and David Noll, Jr. as well as Mike Cromer and David Poteet also punched their ticket to San Francisco in May. The final spot secured by Cromer and Poteet was a coveted one as four teams also shot 69 and were ousted in a playoff. Full results from this Georgia site can be found here.

September 19, 2014 | OGA Golf Course - Woodburn, Ore.

Five teams have shot 62, including a couple pairs who shot the number at the same qualifying site. At the Oregon Golf Association Golf Course in Woodburn, Ore., Kyle Crawford and Tim Tucker, as well as Jim Dunlap and Jay Poletiek both fired 62 and will make their way to The Olympic Club in May for the inaugural event.

September 15, 2014 | Timberstone Golf Course - Caldwell, Idaho

Brothers Tanner and Nick Higham shot 63 to claim the only qualifying spot available in Idaho for the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball. Tanner played collegiately for Utah State while Nick, the older of the two, played for Weber State.

September 15, 2014 | Stoneridge Golf Club - Stillwater, Minn.

Two of the three Iowa State team members at the USGA State Team, Gene Elliott and Mike McCoy are headed to The Olympic Club after shooting 66 at Stoneridge Country Club in Stillwater, Minn. Elliott won the 2013 Crump Cup while McCoy won the 2013 U.S. Mid- Amateur. Mike Fiedler and Clinton Dammann, as well as Greg and Mike Melhus tied for first at the qualifier, shooting 65.

September 8, 2014 | Mayfield Sand Ridge Club - Chardon, Ohio

The teams Jim Krivanek and Brian Smith, and Ted Grassi and Michael Garcia both shot 65 at this Ohio qualifier. Matthew Collins and Wes Stafford secured the third and final spot with a 67.

September 8, 2014 | Colorado Golf Club - Parker, Colo.

Three duos conquered Colorado Golf Club to finish in the qualifying positions. Bill Fowler and Robert Polk shot 65 to share medalist honors with Alex Kephart and Nicholas Tarasiewicz. Jeff Chapman and Andrew Tapia came in a tie for third at 66 but they will still be traveling to The Olympic Club in May as they notched the final spot.

September 8, 2014 | Mill River Country Club - Stratford, Conn.

Addison Owens and Todd Payne captured one of two spots available at the only Connecticut qualifying location. Their 65 beat out Ben and Daniel Day's 66, though the pair also qualified. Full results of this location can be found here.

September 2, 2014 | Cascade Hills Country Club - Grand Rapids, Mich.

In Grand Rapids, Mich., Ken Hudson and Walter Gieselman carded a 64 en route to taking medalist honors. Finishing just one shot back were Canadians Patrick Forbes and Sean Lackey. They beat out Mike Bush and Dieter Schulz in a playoff to earn their spot.

September 2, 2014 | Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club - Hendersonville, Tenn.

At Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville, Tenn., record-setting 2014 Tennessee State Amateur champion Tim Jackson and his parter Todd Burgan were medalists, shooting 64. Burgan tied for fourth at this year's U.S. State Team Championship, representing Tennessee. Drew Allenspach and Matthew Van Zandt shot 65 but tied two other teams. They played an eight-hole playoff to earn their spot in the field. Full results from this site can be found here.

August 28, 2014 | Golf Mountain Golf Club - Bremerton, Wash.

Chris Hatch and Mark Strickland were three shots better than the field in their successful attempt to qualify. At 64, they were medalists by three strokes over Erik Heggelund and Casey Granston.

August 26, 2014 | Stonebridge Ranch Country Club - McKinney, Texas

Recent USGA State Team winner Zach Atkinson of Colleyville, Texas and his playing partner James Edmondson shot 65 at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney, Texas, allowing them to be the fourth of four teams to move on from this site. Fort Worth residents Paul Droogsma and Mike Masowich were medalists at Stonebridge Ranch with a 64. Will Doughtie and Luke Kane of Amarillo shot 65 as did Danny Lovell and Greg Smith to join Atkinson and Edmondson.

August 26, 2014 | Shadow Ridge Country Club - Omaha, Neb.

A father-son duo shot 62 at Shadow Ridge Country Club in Omaha, Neb. John Sajevic and his son Andrew, a former University of North Carolina golfer, will surely enjoy their trip to the Lake Course. Another family affair will also make their trip our to Olympic Club as Jay and Brian Csipkes made eagle on the third playoff whole to sneak into the field. The duo was part of a four-way playoff at 65 for one spot.

August 25, 2014 | Talonscove Golf Course - Saratoga Springs, Utah

Jeffrey Jolley and Darrin Overson round out the four rounds of 62 thus far as the pair punched their ticket to the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball.

Conducted over 18 holes, sectional qualifying is held at sites across the United States from late summer to early winter. Handicap limit 2.4.
