Bubba Conlee Junior: DeRosa, Choi win titles
BARTLETT, Tenn. (July 20, 2014) -- Alexander DeRosa shot a final-round 69 and won by a shot at the 34th Bubba Conlee National Junior Sunday at Quail Ridge Golf Club.
DeRosa, from Atlanta, carded rounds of 68-66-69 and held off a hard-charging Braden Thornberry (69-69-67) for the title.
Triston Elston (69-71-70) and Davis Shore (68-72-70) tied for third place.
Jayna Choi won a playoff with a birdie on the first extra hole to top Sabrina Long for the Girls title. She shot three straight rounds in the red (70-71-70) in the victory.
The Bubba Conlee National Junior Golf Tournament, one of the Mid-South’s finest junior events, is dedicated to the life of James Larry "Bubba" Conlee, Jr., one of the best young golfers in the Mid-South who tragically died at the peak of his junior golf career.

Format is 54 holes of stroke play. Players
eligible must be no more than 18 years of age
by the start of the tournament.
