EDMOND, Okla. (July 10, 2014) -- After one round of play at the 2014 U.S. Senior Open, they're all chasing Colin Montgomerie.

Among that group chasing him is amateur Jeff Wilson from the San Francisco area.

Wilson, who's been known to go low during USGA events, fired an opening-round 2-under 70 at Oak Tree National and sits five off the pace set by Monty.

Wilson, of course, shot a 62 to medal at the 2010 U.S. Amateur and took low amateur honors at the U.S. Open in 2000.

He's leading the race for low amateur at the Senior Open late in Round 1. Roger Newsom is in with a 75 while Ted Pecora carded a 6-over 77.

With Mike McCoy, Pete Williams and Joe Palmer among the amateurs left on the course on Day 1, we'll update as soon as play is complete. For a full look at the live leaderboard, follow the link below.
