Golfweek Senior: Sharpe, Wright tied for lead
WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2014) -- Stephen Sharpe of Greensboro, N.C. fired a second-round 1-under 69 on Friday to catapult into a tie for the lead at the 2014 Golfweek Senior Championship at Saddlebrook.
Sharpe is tied alongside Hal Wright of Shreveport, La., who followed his first-round 73 up with a 72 on Friday.
The co-leaders are a shot ahead of Eddie Lyons -- another golfer from Shreveport -- who shot 72 Thursday before a 74 on Friday and sits alone in third place.
Cyrus Whitney made a run to fifth place thanks to a second-round 73 and sits one back of solo-fourth Mark Macejko.
Jim Rollefson grew his lead in the Super Senior Division with a second-round 70. He's four shots up on Jon Abbett.
In the Legends Division, Ray Darmstadt leads by four shots over Walt Martin.
