Modesto City: Tira holds off Robinson
MODESTO, Calif. (June 10, 2013) -- Raymon Tira held off Cody Robinson for a two-shot victory at the 2013 Modesto City Championship at Dryden Park Golf Course.
Tira, who recently completed his freshman year at Chico State, hit only seven greens in regulation in Sunday's final round but used a hot putter to shoot 1-under 71 and keep pace with the surging Robinson.
Robinson, who plays on the St. Mary's College team, shot a 68 but couldn't complete the comeback.
Rob Thompson edged Ken Webb in the Senior Division while Laura Arellano won the Women's Championship.
