MEMPHIS, Tenn. (May 20, 2013) — Fighting off gusting winds and a formidable opponent, the winner of the HP Byron Nelson Championship scored his first PGA TOUR victory with Dynamic Gold in the bag.

On Sunday, the 26-year-old champion from South Korea shot a key birdie putt on 16 for a one shot lead that he maintained to finish at 13-under 267. The runner up, also playing Dynamic Gold, set a course record of 60 on Thursday.

“This was an exciting, down-to-the-wire victory on a challenging course in challenging weather conditions,” said Scott Hennessy, CEO and president of True Temper Sports. “The champion played with confidence and trusted his short game to Dynamic Gold to make the winning difference. Additionally, all of the top 10 finishers had shafts by True Temper in the bag as well as 125 players in the field at this weekend’s event.”

The Number One selling shaft in golf, Dynamic Gold shafts are preferred by skilled players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight. Dynamic Gold features an internal tip reinforcement technology and tighter weight sorting tolerance for precision custom fitting.
