I once heard a story about the legendary
Moe
Norman (Google him) crying when he
broke a tee he had been carrying for
years.
Moe would've loved the FLYteePRO made
by
CHAMP Spikes.
I've carried the same FLYteePRO for 72
holes
and I haven't shed a tear yet. The only
time I don't use it is on par 3s. But as I'm
sure
you're
aware, there's much more to golf tees
these
days than how durable they are.
Launched at the 2013 PGA Show and
named
the 'Official Tee of Demo Day', the
FLYteePRO --- an evolution of CHAMP's
original
FLYtee--- has
been infused with Kevlar® to allow for
extra
long life. With a soft, shock-absorbing tip,
the tee's six prongs allow the ball to
release
almost
friction-free upon impact, resulting in
independent test-verified gains of up to
22
yards.
The top section is coated on the outside
with
an
attractive blue covering that provides an
extra
degree of protection and a nice visual
effect that promotes consistent tee
heights.
With strict limits on the amount of
"trampoline
effect" that can be delivered from a
driver, golfers are more than ever looking
for
any extra edge
they can get. So it's no surprise that the
FLYteePRO, available in 2-¾” and 3-¼”
options, has quickly found its way into the
bags of many
touring pros. I really like the idea of
carrying
just one tee in my pocket and using that
tee to deliver the same look and feel
every
time I put it
in the ground on a par 4 or 5.
In 2013, I plan on playing the same model
Titleist ball every round and sitting it on
top
of the latest technology from CHAMP - the
FLYteePRO.
