Society of Seniors Championships: Thielemann leads
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2012) -- Alan Thielemann of Woodstock, GA fired a second-round 68 at Fiddlesticks Country Club and takes a one-shot lead into Round 3 at the 2012 Society of Seniors Championships.
Thielemann leads the Dale Morey Division by one shot over Jerry McMullen and holds a two-shot advantage over Marlin Detweiler and Richard Pfeil.
In the John Owens Division, Jerry Greenbaum leads by two over Tom Knapp after a second straight 71. Fred Silver and Jerry Jackson are tied for third place.
Harry Cain fired a second-round 72 and leads the Grand Masters Division by two shots entering Round 3.

54 hole stroke play event that honors one of the
founders of the SOS, Dale Morey, who won more
than 250 events in a lifetime of golf. In 2021 the
tournament switched
to a single division. SOS annual meeting and
banquet is held with this tournament.
