SAN JOSE, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2012) -- Rick Smith, world renowned
and consistently ranked as one of the top golf instructors by Golf
Digest, has selected GolfSense as his primary 3D motion capture
swing analyzer technology to use across his teaching academies,
learning centers and one-on-one coaching. Smith is known for
having assisted some of the most accomplished golfers in the
world including Phil Mickelson, Lee Janzen, Rocco Mediate, Jack
Nicklaus, Greg Norman and many others. In addition, Rick holds
awards and accolades for his skills as a golf course designer and
also authored a book entitled, “How to Find Your Perfect Golf
Swing.” Smith was recently inducted into the Michigan Golf Hall of
Fame.
GolfSense, a glove-based 3D motion capture swing analyzer that
works with free apps for iPad, iPhone and iPad touch, launched
this past summer with a mission to deliver the world’s most
helpful training device in golf. Using real-time processing of over
200 data points per swing, GolfSense empowers golfers to
improve their game by delivering easy to understand never-
before-seen swing analysis, tips, and recommendations.
The truly revolutionary swing analysis features combined with
helpful training tips and recommendations were an ideal fit for
Rick and his business:
“After using GolfSense over the summer, I realized just how
revolutionary this technology is not only for a golf instructor, but
also for a student. GolfSense has the ability to empower the
average golfer to capture their swing in a meaningful way, on
their own, and receive instant feedback from the GolfSense App.
I am also excited about the extensive data that the GolfSense
App can capture, some of which has never been captured before,
such as hand speed during the swing. GolfSense technology is a
game-changer for golf instruction and with the great team behind
the product, I had to get involved,” said Rick Smith.
Alongside being the marquis ambassador for GolfSense, Rick will
also serve as a product advisor to continually provide feedback
and help ensure that GolfSense leads the way in the mobile
swing analyzer category. GolfSense recently launched an
extensive update to their app, including over a dozen new
analysis and settings features. When paired with Smith’s
knowledge and input, GolfSense is poised to become a necessity
for any golfer looking to improve his or her game.
"We're extremely excited to be partnering with Rick," said CEO of
Zepp Technology, Jason Fass. “His coaching philosophy and
proven instruction methods are perfectly aligned with our
customers and our company. We look forward to a bright future
together."
