Moody wins shortened Florida Mid-Senior
LONGBOAT KEY (Aug. 25, 2012) -- Ken Moody prevailed in a playoff to win the Florida State Mid-Senior Championship at the Longboat Key Club in Longboat Key. The Championship was shortened to a 36-hole event due to Hurricane Isaac.

Ken Moody, of Ponte Vedra Beach, recorded a final round of even par 72 for a tournament total of one-under par 143 to find himself tied with Glenn Przybylski, of Frankfort, IL, after 36-holes of play. Przybylski fired a first round of two-under par 70 to go along with his final round of one-over par 73. The duo would head for a sudden death playoff to determine the Champion. The sudden-death playoff would only go one hole with Moody making a par to capture the title. This is Moody’s first State Championship. Doug Snoap, of Apopka, and R J Nakashian, of Palm Beach Gardens, finished tied for third place with a tournament total of even par 144. John Wegmann, of Southwest Ranches, fired the low round of the Championship on Saturday with a four-under par 68 to finish tied for fifth place.

To be eligible for the Mid-Senior Championship, players must be 40 years of age or older. Each player played 18-holes each on the Harborside and Islandside courses at the beautiful Longboat Key Club.
