Semifinals set at NJ Four-Ball
WEST ORANGE, N.J. (Aug. 7, 2012) -- The semifinals are set at the 2012 New Jersey State Golf Association Four-Ball Championship at Essex County Country Club.
The top-seeded team of Luke Edelman and Michael O'Connell were 1-up winners over Jeff Goydan and Clark Holle (Round of 16) and over Bill Durnan III and Steve Sclafani (Quarterfinal).
Edelman and O'Connell were medalists after Round 1 with a 6-under 65.
The top seed will take on the team of Anthony Aloi and Michael DiMeglio, which rolled through its first two matches.
In the other semifinal match, Nick DiPietra and Jerry Hornton will face Harris Podovey and Michael LoCastro.
ABOUT THE New Jersey Four-Ball
Field consists of 40 teams of 2 players who have
successfully qualified or have met the team
exemption
requirements. Format consists of 18 holes of stroke
play followed by a cut to the low 16 teams for match
play.
