Jon Olson's final-round 8-under 64 was a competitive course record at Spirit Hollow

BURLINGTON, Iowa (July 29, 2012) -- Jon Olson fired a competitive course record in the final round to win the 2012 Iowa Amateur Championshiop at Spirit Hollow. Olson fired an 8-under 64 and was eight shots better than second-place finisher Josh Black, who entered the final round as the leader. His 1-over 73 wasn't near enough to hang on to the lead given Olson's impressive round. Gene Elliott was alone in third place with a 3-under event total thanks to a final-round 3-under 69.

54 hole stroke play championship of Iowa. Three qualifying sites will determine the final field of 156. The field is cut to the low 60 and ties for the final round. Must be an active Iowa Golf Association (IGA) member.
