Louisiana Four-Ball rescheduled
2012 — Baton Rouge, LA (July 22, 2012) -– The Louisiana Golf Association Four-Ball Championship at the University Club of Baton Rouge has been re-scheduled for the weekend of August 18th and 19th. Play began Saturday morning at 7:30, but shortly thereafter a torrential downpour pounded the golf course, and play was suspended and ultimately re-scheduled due to unplayable conditions on the golf course. Entries have been re-opened to LGA members, so anyone who missed the previous deadline now has until 5:00 PM on Tuesday August 7th to register for the Championship.

Teams may enter online or download an entry form from the LGA website at www.LGAgolf.org. The current field is comprised of 66 teams from throughout the state. The University Club course has hosted a number of LGA Championships since its opening in 1997, including last year’s Senior Amateur Championship, conducted not long after the club’s re-opening after a year-long renovation. The course’s renovation drew rave reviews from the state’s best Senior players last year and is expected to be in wonderful shape for this extremely strong field.
