DAYTON VALLEY, Nev. (July 12, 2012) -- Amateurgolf.com alum, Gregor Main, posted bogey free rounds of 64-67-68--199 to win the Sierra Nevada Open, for his first professional victory.

During his college and amateur career, Main won the Amateurgolf.com Silicon Valley Amateur two straight years in 2009 and 2010 against a strong field of college players and top regional amateurs. We wish him the best as he strives to join past AGC players Spencer Levin and Matt Bettencourt on the PGA Tour.

John Ellis, Aliso Viejo, Calif, carded 69-63-69--201 to finish solo second and Richard Lee, Chandler, Ariz., signed for 66-69-67--202 and third place finish.

Brian Waterhouse of Fresno was the low amateur but his rounds of 71-76 did not pass the cut, which stood at 1-under par for 36 holes .
