RENO, Nev. (June 24, 2012) -- Starting his day five off the pace with an opening round 74, Joe Sanders blistered Sierra Sage Golf Course with a second round 64. With an eagle at number 3 and birdies at 4, 10, 14, 15 and 18 his 7-under par bogey-free round was good enough to take home the Northern Nevada Amateur title.
First round leader, Jacob Wilner finished second two strokes back of Sanders with a 140 (69-71.) Ryan Mitchell finished at 141 (73-68) tied for third with David Nelson 141( 70-71.)
