CHARLOTTE, NC (6/22/12) -- Carter Jenkins of Raleigh and Isabella Rusher of Salisbury battled heat, long matches and tough opponents through three days of match play to capture their state titles in the 45th NC Junior Championship. Jenkins defeated Eric Bae of Cary, 4 & 3, to take the boys title while Rusher outlasted Lucia Polo of Greensboro, 2 &1, to claim the girls crown.
