BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 21, 2012) -- Four players shot 3-under 69 and lead a jam-packed leaderboard after Round 1 at the 12th Annual Greystone Invitational at Greystone Golf & Country Club's Founder's Course.

Richard Schembechler II, Jake Nolen, Justin Choe and Davis Bunn all fired 69 Thursday during the first round to finish the day ahead of the pack.Incidentally, seven players shot 70 and are in the mix while five more shot 1-under 71 and five others even-par 72.

That makes 21 players within three shots of the lead heading into Round 2 action.

ABOUT THE Greystone Invitational

72-hole tournament, cut to the low 60 plus ties after 36 holes. Committee accepts the lowest 124 applicants based on USGA index signed by a golf professional. Greystone CC slope is 146 and the rating 74.1. It was designed by Rees Jones in 2000. The Legacy Course is a magnificent test of golf. Out of state players are encouraged to apply.
