Weiss-Stone lead at windswept Roddy Ranch

ANTIOCH, Calif. (June 9, 2012) -- After the opening round of the Roddy Ranch Four-Ball one team is distancing themselves from the rest of the field in the championship flight. On an extremely difficult scoring day with blustery winds the team of Jay Weiss and Andrew Stone managed to shoot a 6-under-par 66 on the Roddy Ranch track.

Five off the pace at 71 is the duo of Mike Furlong and Andrew Bonner. Andrew Roberts and Austin Robert are at even par 72. The teams of Zach Adams, Jahan Nargussi and Logan Goulding, Blake Bertrand are tied with 73's.

The senior flight will be a battle in the final round. Mark Miller and Terry Foreman posted a 4-under-par 68 and are only one ahead of Jim Knoll and Jeff Burda.

Duffy Neil and Rich Morrison are tied with George Erbez and Dale Bouguennec at 71.

The final round is on Sunday and the winds are expected to be a bit milder.
