After recently changing driver heads, I was fighting my current Mitsubishi Diamana White Board due to the heavy weight. This prompted me to request and test the new lighter graphite shaft Project X Black.

The new Project X Black shaft includes new technology called TeXtreme, which reduces the shaft's weight while maintaining low torque and spin.

After I received my shaft, I was swinging a bit tentatively, not knowing how the shaft was going to react. After a few holes, however, I got used to the feel, adjusted some of the weighting in the head (great thing about technology), and voila!. I immediately started to pummel drives 320-350 yards in the middle of the fairway!

The feedback was terrific and it is always the best feeling to not only hit it long, but straight.

I would recommend True Temper's new technology and the Project X Black Shaft to anyone seeking great performance and stability.
