SEASIDE, Calif. (May 27, 2012) -- Robby Salomon holed a six foot birdie putt on the first hole of sudden death to capture the 2012 amateurgolf.com Monterey Bay Championship over defending champion Jared Stone

"The last 10 holes I played (18-9 because he started on 10) were the toughest 10 holes of tournament golf I've played," commented Salomon after the round.

On Solomon's final hole he had to get down in two for par from 105 yards out just tow make it to the playoff. On the extra hole it came down to a couple of 6 foot putts. Stone missed his attempt and Salomon would sink it for the win.

Salomon signed for 78-72--150 while Stone posted 75- 75--150. Michael Decker, Pebble Beach, was third alone with scores of 79-72--151.

Andrew Loftus won the Net division in a runaway, posting 71-68--139 while Matt Roming carded 76-72--148 for solo second. This is the third Monterey title for Loftus.
