John Brennan wins the
2012 GAP Mid-Amateur

MALVERN, Pa (May 24, 2012) -- John Brennan of Philadelphia Cricket Club, a social studies teacher at Spring Ford High School, captured the 29th Middle-Amateur Championship on Thursday at Chester Valley Golf Club by four strokes. Brennan finished at 1-over-par 141 (67-74) for the 36 holes.

Ben Smith of Little Mill Country Club placed second with a 5-over-par 145 (69-76.)

The Mid-Amateur was Brennan’s first major title.
