VACAVILLE, Calif. (May 6, 2012) -- On a windy, spring Saturday and a pleasant Sunday Michael Lee prevailed in the Vacaville City Championship played at Green Tree Golf Course.

Lee, who plays out of nearby Rancho Solano GC, finished the day at 147 after carding 72-75 and found himself tied with Adrian Schwarz of Davis GC and Joe Johnson of E-Club East Bay. Schwarz shot 75-72 while Johnson carded 71-76.

The sudden death playoff lasted 2 holes. Lee and Schwarz made birdie 4's on the par 5 number one while Johnson bowed out with a par making 5. At the 412 yard par-4 number two Lee made par and Schwarz made bogey crowning Lee the 2012 Vacaville City champion.

Just missing the playoff by one stroke was Brandon Gama of Santa Barbara GC who improved his score by ten strokes after Saturday's round. Gama shot 148 (79-69) and finished tied for fourth with Ray Hale of Davis GC who fired 148 (73-75.)
