CARLSBAD, Calif. (Jan. 19, 2012) --- One tournament. Two aces. One ball.

College sophomore Alex Franklin finished at the top of the leaderboard at Last weekend's Silicon Valley Amateur at Coyote Creek Golf Course in Morgan Hill, Calif. but the winner may have been the Titleist Pro V1x.

Nick Thomas and Wes Sandroni each recorded holes-in-one during the event, using Titleist's No. 1 golf ball.

Thomas used a hybrid to cut through the 10-MPH wind on the Tournament Course's 205-yard 2nd hole. The ball was hit well, drew slightly and landed 15 feet short of the cup and rolled in.

Thomas had the perfect view of his first hole-in-one.

Sandroni had his ace on the Valley Course's 170-yard 16th. He hit a 6-iron and stuck it to two feet before it rolled right in.

The Pro V1 has already earned four wins worldwide on professional tours and remains the No. 1 choice for high-level players.
