MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Oct. 11, 2011) -- True Temper's high-performance Dynamic Gold and Project X added three more tournament titles to this season's win column over the weekend. Victories at the Frys.com Open, Children's Hospital Classic and the Madrid Masters increased True Temper's 2011 season total to 89 wins on the PGA, Nationwide and European Tours.

After six playoff holes, this weekend's Frys.com Open winner played Dynamic Gold to shoot a final-round 64 and capture his first tour victory. The Children's Hospital Classic champion won the Nationwide Tour event playing Project X shafts while the Madrid Masters winner captured his first European Tour victory trusting Dynamic Gold in his irons and a Project X graphite in his driver. The victory marked the 22nd Project X driver global tour win this season.

"The PGA Tour set a new record this weekend with its 17th playoff of the year, and it's easy to see that competition among players is getting tougher all the time. Players are looking for a competitive edge and they know that playing high-performance shafts - specifically engineered to deliver distance, accuracy and control - can make all the difference," says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. "It's very rewarding to see such a variety of our shaft models - from Dynamic Gold to Project X steel and Project X graphite - play key roles in winning at the highest levels of the game throughout the 2011 season."

In addition to the win, True Temper shafts dominated the field at the Frys.com Open with 112 sets in play including both combatants in the dueling playoff.

Dynamic Gold is preferred by skilled players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight. The shaft features an internal tip reinforcement technology and tighter weight sorting tolerance for precision custom fitting. Dynamic Gold shafts are available in tapered and parallel irons and parallel woods. The Project X line of shafts are proven winners, including the newest addition - Project X graphite shaft - which quickly established itself as the premier graphite shaft in the game today. The straight taper and short tip section of the Project X iron shafts provides maximum energy transfer with low spin rates required for penetrating iron shots.
