PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (June 17, 2010) -- Morgan Hoffman fell victim to the two trees that guard the 18th fairway in Thursday's first round of the U.S. Open. It was even more of a shame that he finished with a 9 there, because the rest of his opening round was nearly perfect.
