Bill Haas' water blast
- with a 60 degree Vokey wedge
After letting out a huge "yelp" at the preposterous (and I mean that in a good way) water hazard shot Bill Haas hit in the Tour Championship playoff, I wondered where it ranks on the list of the all-time greats. Johnny Miller called it, but I certainly didn't think that Haas had better than a 1-in-10 chance of getting the ball close. Yet he pulled it off, had the composure to close the deal with a classy two-putt on 18, and entered the history books as the winner of the most lucrative playoff in history.

If you haven't seen it, you can search "Bill Haas water shot" on youtube and be presented with videos from every angle.

Where do you think this shot ranks with the greatest tournament shots of all time?

Before you vote, please take a look at the list of 16 contenders, in chronological order. With apologies to female golfers everywhere, my knowledge of LPGA and Women's USGA history is embarrassing -- I'm open to suggestions at amateurgolf1 (at sign) yahoo.com.
