Dargan/Mitchell take early lead at SCGA Four-Ball
BLYTHEWOOD, SC (Sept. 17, 2011) --Battling cool windy conditions, Robert Dargan and Chris Mitchell took the first round lead of the SCGA's Players Four Ball with a score of eight under par 64. Dargan, a Columbia Country Club member, had his game on target as his eight birdies accounted for all of the teams. Following a close two shots behind are fellow Columbia CC members Eddie Hargett and Whit Suber.
The final round of the Championship will be played on Sunday beginning at 8.00.
The 2011 SCGA Mid Amateur Four Ball Championship is being played on the par 72 – 6,935 yard Columbia Country Club course in Blythewood. The field consists of 58 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty six holes. The Players Four Ball Championship is one of 19 Major Championships conducted annually by the South Carolina Golf Association.
