Cannon Goes Low to Win AZ Western AM

Kevin Cannon fired a second round 68 to win the 2011 Arizona Golf Association Western Amateur

YUMA, AZ (May 22, 2011) -- Kevin Cannon's second round 68 was solid. So solid in fact that he passed four other players, one of whom had a five shot lead over Cannon with 18 holes to play. Camron Howell finished alone in second place with scores of 73-68--142, while Travis Klauk took solo third with scores 71-73--144. Grant Cesarek started the day in second with a first round 68, but a 77 on the final day left him alone in fourth. Scott Berren was the first round leader with a brilliant 67 at the Yuma Country Club. A disappointing 79 would have him finish the event in fifth place.
